TRENTON (July 13, 2017) – There was one New Jersey Lottery ticket sold that matched the five white balls drawn to win the $1,000,000 second-prize for the Wednesday, July 12 drawing. If that ticket had been purchased with the Power Play Multiplier option, it would have doubled the prize to $2,000,000. The winning ticket was purchased in Union County at Country Farms, 378 Springfield Ave., Berkeley Heights.

The winning numbers for the Wednesday, July 12 drawing were: 01, 02, 18, 23 and 61. The Red Power Ball number was 09. The Multiplier number was 02. The Powerball jackpot rolls to $172,000,000 for the next drawing to be held Saturday, July 15 at 10:59 pm.

In addition, one New Jersey Lottery ticket was sold that matched the four white balls and the Powerball drawn, winning the $50,000 third prize. If that ticket had been purchased with Power Play, it would have multiplied the prize to $100,000. The ticket was purchased at World News & Tobacco, 139 North Delsea Dr., Vineland in Cumberland County.

In addition to the second and third-tier prizewinning tickets sold, there were 28,429 New Jersey players who took home an estimated $144,896 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200, according to Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger.

“Congratulations to all of the lottery players who purchased winning tickets and to the retailers that sold them,” said Hedinger. “I’d like to remind players to purchase their Powerball tickets with a winning attitude and add Power Play to the ticket purchase. Power Play doubles the second prize from one million dollars to two million dollars and multiplies all of the seven lower prize sets available in the game by the number drawn that evening. The jackpot prize is not multiplied.”
