New Jersey Lottery Brings Back the Raffle for the New Year  with 39,468 Prizes Waiting to be Won!

TRENTON (Nov. 17, 2021) – Starting this Monday, November 22, tickets go on sale for New Jersey Lottery’s New Year’s Raffle! Only 500,000 tickets will be available for sale, with a New Year’s Day Grand Prize Drawing for $2,000,000! 

In addition to the Grand Prize Drawing, five “early-bird” drawings will be held each Monday for a $25,000 prize. Tickets are only $20 each and when purchased they become eligible for all future drawings. The first early-bird drawing will be Monday, November 29. Additionally, up to 38,462 tickets will win a $50 prize! 

“It’s been 13 years since we have held a New Jersey only raffle and we are bringing it back for our players,” said Executive Director James Carey. “We know that players love great odds, a large cash prize, and a guaranteed grand prize winner selected on the first day of the new year. In total, the New Year’s Raffle can award 39,468 prizes and one of those lucky players will start off 2022 as a multimillionaire. Tickets are limited, so we encourage players with big dreams to get in the game early. We remind everyone to play responsibly and within their means.” 

There will be five early bird prizes of $25,000 each, drawn every Monday leading up to the Grand Prize Drawing. Each of these winners will still be eligible for the top prize. On New Year’s Day, over a thousand prizes will be drawn including: the $2,000,000 jackpot prize, 100 second-tier prizes of $5,000, and 900 third-tier prizes of $500. With a guaranteed top-prize winner and a maximum of 500,000 tickets sold, this raffle offers the best odds in New Jersey to win a $2,000,000 prize!
