$5,119,436 Million Won by New Jersey Lottery Players in Prizes

Ranging from $2 to $1,000,000 Since this Roll Began

TRENTON (July 19, 2022) – New Jersey Lottery Executive Director James A. Carey announced today the estimated Mega Millions game jackpot for tonight’s drawing has grown to $555 million. The cash value is now $316.9 million. This is the fifth-largest jackpot in the game’s history and the increase is a result of robust sales nationwide.

“This is a fun and entertaining time for Mega Millions lottery players for a chance at the life-changing opportunity to become a Mega Millionaire! You do have to be in to win it,” Carey said, “and you only need one ticket in order to have that chance to win. Players should get in the game, but remember to play responsibly.”

The Lottery promotes responsible play through its cooperation with the Council on Compulsive Gambling of NJ and by promoting the Council’s helpline phone number, 1-800-GAMBLER, on all Lottery tickets, as well as marketing and advertising materials.

Since this latest Mega Millions roll began on April 19, 2022, there have been 25 one-million dollar winners, 374 third-tier winning tickets of at least $10,000, 15,552,816 total winning tickets across all nine prize tiers.

Tonight’s drawing will be held at 11:00 pm. All New Jersey Lottery Mega Millions tickets must be purchased before 10:45 pm to participate in the drawing. Mega Millions tickets cost just two dollars; by adding the Megaplier option for an extra dollar per play, players can increase their non-jackpot winnings up to five times. Mega Millions tickets are sold in 46 participating jurisdictions. Drawings are held on Tuesdays and Fridays.
