TRENTON (Nov. 4, 2024) – A little more than a month after the Mega Millions jackpot was hit in Texas, the top prize has quickly grown above $300 million, heading into the next drawing on Tuesday, Nov. 5.

At $303 million, the current jackpot represents the fourth highest of the year. On Sept. 10, a Texas player drew the winning numbers for an $800 million jackpot. In June, a player in Illinois hit $560 million. And, of course, we all know about the $1.13 billion jackpot a New Jersey player hit in March.

There was one jackpot prizewinning ticket sold in Texas for the Tuesday, Sept 10, drawing that matched five of the five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball drawn winning the $800,000,000 prize.

The next drawing is Friday, Nov. 1, at 11:00 pm. All New Jersey Lottery Mega Millions tickets must be purchased before 10:45 p.m. to participate in the drawing. Mega Millions tickets cost two dollars; by adding the Megaplier option for an extra dollar per play, players can increase their non-jackpot winnings up to five times. Mega Millions tickets are sold in 47 participating U.S. jurisdictions. Drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays.
