Tickets for $150,000 Jersey Cash Five, $50,000 Powerball to expire soon

TRENTON (September 10, 2025) – Check your old New Jersey Lottery tickets, it might very well be worth the effort. In the Garden State, players have one year to claim prizes before they expire. Two big unclaimed prizes will expire soon.

• A $50,000 Powerball prize expires Sept. 25. The ticket was purchased at Quick Chek #127, 2432 US 130 in the unincorporated Middlesex County community of Dayton.
• A $150,000 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot prize expires Nov. 1. The ticket was purchased at White Oak Liquors, 418 Union Avenue in the Essex County township of Belleville.

Players with a stash of old Lottery tickets should note recent history. In May, a Mercer County player uncovered a discarded four-month old Mega Millions ticket. After checking the numbers, the player realized it was worth $1 million.
