TRENTON (December 5, 2025) – The Powerball jackpot now stands at $820 million heading into Saturday’s drawing, the eighth highest in game history. The cash value of the prize is $383.5 million. Record-high jackpots in the multi-state game have been frequent. Indeed, five of the game’s top 10 jackpots have been hit in the previous three years. The jackpot reached $1.8 billion earlier this year when players in Missouri and Texas split the top prize on Sept. 6. The top 10 Powerball jackpots:

• $2.04 billion: Nov. 7, 2022, California;
• $1.8 billion: Sept. 6, 2025, Missouri, Texas;
• $1.765 billion: Oct. 11, 2023, California;
• $1.586 billion: Jan. 13, 2016, California, Florida, Tennessee;
• $1.09 billion: April 6, 2024, Oregon;
• $1.08 billion: July 19, 2023, California;
• $824.4 million: Jan. 1, 2024 , Michigan;
• $820 million: current run;
• $768.4 million: March 27, 2019, Wisconsin;
• $758.7 million: Aug. 23, 2017, Massachusetts.

The Powerball prize is just one of several notable jackpots New Jersey players are trying to capture:

• Mega Millions: The jackpot is $50 million for tonight’s drawing. On Tuesday, a player in Hudson County’s Union City won a $90 million jackpot. Of the multi-state game’s previous 10 jackpots, New Jersey players have won two. Through Tuesday, Dec. 9, New Jersey players who purchase three Mega Millions plays on a single ticket will receive a free additional play on a trailing ticket.
• Pick-6: Heading into Saturday’s drawing, the jackpot is $4.4 million. Four players have won jackpots this year.
• Jersey Cash 5: The daily game’s jackpot is $2.88 million. There have been 59 jackpots won this year. The current jackpot is the second highest of the year. Two players split a $3.8 million jackpot on Oct. 7.
• Cash4Life: The daily draw game offers “for life” prizes of $1,000 day for life and $1,000 week for life, with cash value options of $7 million and $1 million respectively. In 2025, one New Jersey player has won the $7 million prize and five have each won $1 million.
