TRENTON (Jan. 21, 2025) – An Arizona lottery player won the $113 million Mega Millions jackpot in the Friday, Jan. 17 drawing. The very next day, an Oregon player won the $328.5 million Powerball jackpot.

With the jackpots both being hit, the New Jersey Lottery will run its “The Jackpot Was Hit!” promotion for Mega Millions through Friday, and for Powerball through Saturday. The promotion allows players who purchase three plays on a single ticket to receive a free play on a separate ticket.

MEGA MILLIONS

In the Mega Millions game, the Arizona player matched all 5 white balls and the Gold Mega Ball for the jackpot, which at $113 million carries a $50.4 million cash value. The winning numbers were 08, 10, 37, 54 and 69. The Gold Mega Ball was 22 and the Megaplier was 03.

One New Jersey player matched four white balls, the Gold Mega Ball, and the multiplier to win $30,000. Another New Jersey player matched the four white balls and the Gold Mega Ball to win $10,000. Those tickets were played at Lotto.com, an online courier, and Liquorama, 386 Bellville Tpk., Kearny in Hudson County.

The jackpot has reset and is an estimated $20 million heading into tonight’s drawing.

POWER BALL

In the Powerball drawing on Saturday, the Oregon player matched all five white balls and the Power Ball to win the $328.5 million jackpot, which has a $146.4 million cash value. The winning numbers were 14, 31, 35, 64 and 69. The Red Power Ball number was 23 and the Power Play was 2X. The Double Play winning numbers were 07, 34, 40, 48, and 57. The Double Play Ball was 17.

Monday’s Powerball winning numbers were 15, 16, 32, 47, and 54. The Red Power Ball number was 06 and the Power Play was 3X. One New Jersey Lottery player matched four of the five white balls and the Power Ball drawn winning the $50,000 third-tier prize. That ticket was sold at Quick Chek #186, 3483 Route 22, Whitehouse Station in Hunterdon County. The Double Play winning numbers were 10, 23, 33, 38, and 54. The Double Play ball was 17.

The jackpot has reset and is an estimated $31 million heading into Wednesday’s drawing.
