New Jersey Sells One $1,000,000 Ticket as the Powerball Jackpot Rolls to $102,000,000
TRENTON (Sept. 7, 2017) – There was one New Jersey Lottery ticket sold that matched the 5 white balls drawn to win the $1,000,000 second-prize for the Wednesday, Sept. 6 drawing. If that ticket had been purchased with the Power Play Multiplier option, it would have doubled the prize to $2,000,000. The winning ticket was purchased in Passaic County at Union Food Stores, 357 Union Blvd., Totowa.
The winning numbers for the Wednesday, Sept. 6 drawing were: 08, 14, 32, 58 and 67. The Red Power Ball number was 17. The Multiplier number was 03. The Powerball jackpot rolls to $102,000,000 for the next drawing to be held Saturday, Sept. 9 at 10:59 pm.
In addition to the second prizewinning ticket sold, there were 21,899 New Jersey players who took home an estimated $122,860 in prizes ranging from $4 to $300, according to Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger.
“Congratulations to all of the lottery players who purchased winning tickets and to the retailers that sold them,” said Hedinger. “I’d like to remind players to purchase their Powerball tickets with a winning attitude and add Power Play to the ticket purchase. Power Play doubles the second prize from one million dollars to two million dollars and multiplies all of the seven lower prize sets available in the game by the number drawn that evening. The jackpot prize is not multiplied
