Jackpot Fever Hits the Nation Mega Millions Jackpot Increased to $502 Million
TRENTON (March 29, 2018) – New Jersey Lottery Acting Executive Director John M. White announced today the estimated Mega Millions game jackpot has been increased to $502 million. The cash value is now $301.5 million. This is the fourth-largest jackpot in the game’s history and the tenth largest of all North American jackpots. The increase is a result of robust sales nationwide.
“This is a fun and exciting time for Mega Millions lottery players. Remember, anything can happen in Jersey,” White said. “Players should get in the game, but remember to play responsibly.”
Since this latest Mega Millions roll began on January 9, 2018, there have been three one-million dollar New Jersey Lottery winners.
The next drawing will be held Friday, March 30 at 11:00 pm. All New Jersey Lottery Mega Millions tickets must be purchased before 10:45 pm to participate in the drawing. Mega Millions tickets cost just two dollars; by adding the Megaplier option for an extra dollar per play, players can increase their non-jackpot winnings up to five times. Mega Millions tickets are sold in 46 participating jurisdictions. Drawings are held on Tuesdays and Fridays.
