Powerball Jackpot Climbs to $750 Million!
$1,000,000 Winning Ticket sold in Burlington County
& Eight New Jersey Tickets Won $50,000
TRENTON (Oct. 25, 2018) – There was one New Jersey Lottery ticket sold that matched five of the five white balls drawn for the Wednesday, October 24 drawing winning the $1,000,000 second-tier prize. If that ticket had been purchased with Power Play, it would have multiplied the prize to $2,000,000. The winning ticket from Wednesday night’s drawing was sold at Rite Aid #135, 217 Sunset Rd., Willingboro in Burlington County.
In addition to the second-tier prizewinning ticket sold, there were eight New Jersey Lottery tickets sold that matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball drawn for the Wednesday, Oct. 24th drawing winning the $50,000 third-tier prize. If those tickets had been purchased with the Power Play Multiplier option, they would have been worth $100,000. The winning tickets from Wednesday night’s drawing were sold at the following locations:
- Atlantic County: Shoprite of English Creek, 3003 English Creek Ave., Egg Harbor Twp.;
- Camden County: 7-Eleven #10924, 721 North Kings Highway, Cherry Hill;
- Camden County: Ashland Food Market, 10 Burnt Mill Rd., Cherry Hill;
- Camden County: Kresson News, 1225 Haddonfield Berlin Rd. #3, Voorhees;
- Essex County: Quick on the Way, 1 Bloomfield Avenue, North Caldwell;
- Mercer County: Acme #3919, Route 33 & Paxson Ave., Hamilton Square;
- Passaic County: Krauszer’s #281, 150 7th St., Clifton; and
- Union County: Dittrick’ Liquors, 2 North Ave., Garwood.
The winning numbers for the Wednesday, Oct. 24th drawing were: 03, 21, 45, 53 and 56. The Red Power Ball number was 22. The Multiplier number was 02. The Powerball jackpot rolls to $750,000,000 for the next drawing to be held Saturday, Oct. 27th at 10:59 pm.
Moreover, there were 246,152 New Jersey players who took home an estimated $1,166,163 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200, according to Lottery Acting Executive Director James Carey.
“Congratulations to all of the lottery players who purchased winning tickets and to the retailers that sold them,” said Carey. “I’d like to remind players to purchase their Powerball tickets with a winning attitude and add Power Play to the ticket purchase. Power Play doubles the second prize from one million dollars to two million dollars and multiplies all of the seven lower prize sets available in the game by the number drawn that evening. The jackpot prize is not multiplied.”
