TRENTON (June 10, 2019) – One lucky ticket matched all five numbers drawn winning the $1,639,820 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot from the Saturday, June 8th drawing. The winning numbers were: 05, 16, 26, 29 and 34 and the XTRA number was: 03. The lucky retailer that sold the winning ticket is Essex Street Liquors & Wines, 216 Essex St., Hackensack in Bergen County.

Acting Executive Director James Carey said, “We are thrilled that the winning jackpot ticket was sold at Essex Street Liquors & Wines. The retailer will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for selling the winning ticket. Overnight, they have become one more ‘lucky location’ for the very fortunate lottery winner.”

Carey announced that there were 1,152,546 tickets purchased for the drawing. By adding XTRA, for an additional $1.00 per play, winners are able to multiply their non-jackpot prizes by the XTRA number drawn. For correctly matching four of the five numbers drawn, 207 ticketholders won $484 each and 28 others won $1,452 each with the addition of XTRA. Moreover, for correctly matching three of the five numbers drawn, 7,437 ticketholders won $14 each and 1,116 others won $42 each with the addition of XTRA. Lastly 13,066 ticketholders each won $2 for correctly matching two of the five numbers drawn with the addition of XTRA on their purchase.
