Mega Millions Rolls To $113,000,000
One $20,000 and One $10,000 Winning Ticket Sold
TRENTON (Aug. 28, 2019) – James Carey, New Jersey Lottery acting executive director, announced that there were two third-tier prizewinning tickets sold for the Tuesday, Aug. 27 drawing that matched four of the five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball drawn winning the $10,000 prize. One of those tickets was purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prize to $20,000. Those tickets were sold at the following locations:
- Morris County ($20,000): Shoprite of Lincoln Park, 80 Beaver Brook Rd., Lincoln Park; and
- Bergen County ($10,000): Convenience Food Stop, 184 Rivervale Road, Rivervale.
The winning numbers for the Tuesday, Aug. 27 drawing were: 08, 12, 23, 39 and 43. The Gold Mega Ball was 06, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 02.
In addition, 17 other players matched four of the five white balls drawn making each ticket worth $500. Five of those tickets were purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prize to $1,000. Moreover, 26,328 other New Jersey players took home $106,602 in prizes ranging from $2 to $400, according to Carey.
The next drawing will be held Friday, Aug. 30 at 11:00 pm. All New Jersey Lottery Mega Millions tickets must be purchased before 10:45 pm to participate in the drawing. Mega Millions tickets cost just two dollars; by adding the Megaplier option for an extra dollar per play, players can increase their non-jackpot winnings up to five times. Mega Millions tickets are sold in 46 participating jurisdictions. Drawings are held on Tuesdays and Fridays.
