One New Jersey Lottery Ticket Wins $1,000,000 as the
Powerball Jackpot Rolls to $215,000,000
TRENTON (May 6, 2019) – There was one New Jersey Lottery ticket sold that matched five of the five white balls drawn for the Saturday, May 4th drawing winning the $1,000,000 second-tier prize. The winning ticket from Saturday night’s drawing was sold at Gary’s Sweet Shoppe, 444 West Side Ave., Jersey City in Hudson County.
The winning numbers for the Saturday, May 4th drawing were: 06, 16, 23, 30 and 61. The Red Power Ball number was 02. The Multiplier number was 02. The Powerball jackpot rolls to $215,000,000 for the next drawing to be held Wednesday, May 8th at 10:59 pm.
Moreover, there were 32,632 New Jersey players who took home an estimated $165,485 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200, according to Lottery Acting Executive Director James Carey.
“Congratulations to all of the lottery players who purchased winning tickets and to the retailers that sold them,” said Carey. “I’d like to remind players to purchase their Powerball tickets with a winning attitude and add Power Play to the ticket purchase. Power Play doubles the second prize from one million dollars to two million dollars and multiplies all of the seven lower prize sets available in the game by the number drawn that evening. The jackpot prize is not multiplied.”
