Playing Mom’s Game Pays Off
TRENTON (July 10, 2019) – Barry R. of Ewing is not a regular lottery player. He periodically plays Scratch-off games and will play the draw games if the jackpot is high. Barry’s mother is a regular scratch-off player who loves Crossword lottery games. The next time Barry went to purchase lottery tickets he thought of his mother and decided to try his luck at playing the higher price $250,000 Crossword Scratch-off. He took the ticket with him and on his way to work, Barry decided to check his ticket; little did he know this would be his lucky day. At first, he thought he had won $500 but after scanning the ticket and seeing a message appear that said, “See retailer,” he knew his ticket was much more.
Barry was ecstatic when he realized he had won $250,000! The first thing he did after finding out what the ticket was worth was call his wife Jolina, who told him to stop playing around because she hadn’t had her cup of coffee yet. Finally, he was able to convince her he really had won $250,000.
That same day, Barry and his wife made the happy trip to Lottery Headquarters during his lunch break to file their claim. While at Lottery Headquarters, Barry told officials that the reality of the win hadn’t set in yet. The lucky couple said they plan to pay off bills and save the remainder….and perhaps take a vacation. They will definitely continue to play the lottery.
The winning ticket was sold at Speedy Mart Food Store, 197 Scotch Rd. Plaza, Ewing in Mercer County.
