Playing For Fun Brings Good Luck
TRENTON (Oct. 9, 2019) Christina Serrano of Hamilton in Mercer County is not a steady New Jersey Lottery player. She only plays scratch-offs for fun. On her way into work, Christina stopped by her local retailer to pick up a few things and while paying for her items, the Lucky Times 20 Scratch-Off ticket caught her eyes because of the bright pink color. She bought 2 tickets and while at work decided to check to see if she had any winning tickets on her phone. Christina scratched the first ticket no luck, but was ecstatic and in disbelief to find out that the last one was worth a whopping $200,000! This was her very first big win.
The first thing Christina did was to call her sister and tell her the wonderful news. Her sister did not believe it until she saw the ticket for herself. The next morning Christina made her way down to Lottery Headquarters to validate her ticket. She told Lottery officials she couldn’t sleep last night because she was still in shock. Christine said, "I will play again if a ticket catches my eyes." She plans to buy a house and invest the rest.
The New Jersey Lottery retailer that sold the winning ticket was Speedy Mart Food Store, 197 Scotch Rd. Plaza, Ewing in Mercer County.
