TRENTON (Nov. 1, 2024) –Beginning Monday, Nov. 4, the New Jersey Lottery’s CASH POP will offer a new $20 wager. The change is part of the Lottery’s efforts to continuously improve games to enhance the entertainment value for players.

CASH POP’s simple game mechanics remain the same. Players can pick at least one or as many as 15 numbers between 1 and 15. They then wager an amount of $1, $2, $5, $10 or, now, $20 per number. Each number played will cost the amount of the wager selected. Prizes assigned vary per number and range from 5X up to 250X the wagered amount. The ticket purchased will show the player’s number(s) and the corresponding randomly assigned prize amount for each number played. Drawings occur every four minutes, with one number being drawn. The top prize can now be as much as $5,000, double the previous top prize of $2,500.

“This game has been a favorite with Lottery players since its inception in 2019. Adding the $20 wager gives our players a chance for bigger prizes, which they have been requesting for some time now,” said New Jersey Lottery Executive Director James Carey. “Cash Pop has been easy to play and offers great odds of winning. Now there’s just more to go around!”

CASH POP complements the Lottery’s existing game of Quick Draw Progressive, with players able to watch drawings in real time. CASH POP can be purchased at any New Jersey Lottery retail location. Drawings can be viewed on large-screen monitors at select locations including hundreds of bars and restaurants, by visiting NJLottery.com/CASHPOP, or by downloading the NJ Lottery mobile app.
