TRENTON (April 17, 2025) – You often go to the grocery store for life’s staples. It’s routine; once a week or so, perhaps. While “win nearly $1 million” could be something on your shopping list to pick up from the aspirations aisle, such a prize isn’t something you would realistically expect to bring home.

However, on Wednesday, April 16, a Somerset County shopper picked up a Jersey Cash 5 ticket and did grab a $990,123 jackpot. The ticket was purchased at Stop & Shop, 3333 Route 27, in Franklin Park. The jackpot was the 17th won in 2025 and the seventh exceeding $900,000.

The winning numbers were 22, 23, 27, 30, 34. The XTRA was 02 and the Bullseye was 27. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. In addition, 35 Lottery players matched four out of five numbers and the Bullseye to each win $500. An additional nine players matched four out of five balls, the Bullseye and the XTRA to win $500 each.
